Siemens Service in Lincoln has secured a multi-million pound contract to provide gas turbines for a natural gas project in Australia. The Lincoln operation has achieved record sales following a major investment. Siemens is relocating part of the business in September 2012. The firm currently has 1,500 employees; further jobs could be created as result of its expansion.

Call centre operator HEROtsc is recruiting 200 more staff at its Derby contact centre which handles calls for Sky. HEROtsc took over the former Egg call centre in December 2011 and initially planned to recruit 800 people. 200 more jobs will be added in summer 2012 making a total of 1,000 employees at the site.
