AEW Architects has designed a £100m student village near Blacon, Cheshire and has submitted plans for the development which could create significant business and employment opportunities. AEW Architects worked with Bell Developments and planning consultants Spawforth on the scheme. The plans include accommodation for 2,500 student, a dining and leisure hub, and sports facilities.

An £18.9m development on the Advanced Manufacturing Park for the University of Sheffield is nearing completion. The scheme includes the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre which will develop techniques to allow UK manufacturers to provide components for nuclear power stations. BAM Construction is building the facility.
