Family business Job Earnshaw and Bros of Wakefield in Yorkshire has recorded a year-on-year increase in retail sales of 22%. The company which runs Earnshaws Fencing Centres in Wakefield, Rotherham and Brigg, sells timber garden products and natural landscaping goods. Burton-on-Trent based rubber products manufacturer Silentbloc UK Ltd has increased turnover by more than 50% in the 5 years to 2012. It recorded sales of £6.3m in 2011, up from £4m in 2006 helped by an increase in international customers. It expects 25% growth in 2012 with new business opportunities and major innovations expected.

Industrial supplies organisation, Scott Group, has appointed David Crane as Senior Sales Executive to represent Scott Pallets across the North East of England. The Scott Group was founded in 1987 and today employs over 1000 people UK-wide.
