Bridgman IBC, a Hartlepool-based industrial door manufacturer, has purchased a computer numerical control wood machining centre for a six figure sum. The new machinery will allow the company to meet increased demand from customers as the construction industry starts to recover. 2011 turnover £5.37m, 66 employees.

Cable cleat manufacturer Ellis Patents Limited, based in Malton in North Yorkshire, has created three new director roles. Andy Booth has been promoted to Technical Director, Tony Conroy to Export Sales Director and Danny Macfarlane to Operations Director. The new directors will join the existing four directors to help take the company on to its next stage of development.

South Yorkshire based glass manufacturer Beatson Clark has appointed Jonathan Clark as Account Manager to drive growth for the business through its distributor network at home and overseas. Mr Clark has taken over management of Beatson Clarks export accounts as well as those of its UK distributor partners.

Around 10 jobs will be axed from the Rehau manufacturing plant in Blaenau Ffestiniog which produces PVC-U window and door systems. The job losses will take place in June and will be spread across production, admin and support roles. Robert Morsley is HR manager
