Surrey-based Rambler Metals and Mining Plc has purchased a 2% net smelter royalty on the Ming Mine held by Philippine Metals Inc. Rambler Metals invested C$600,000 in the acquisition. Turnover for the year to July 2011 was £2.2m and the company had 86 employees.

Coventry Arena Taxi's is opening a new headquarters in Coventry after acquiring rival firm Allens Taxis for an undisclosed sum. The company has invested in a new site in the city. It will retain the Allens Taxis name.

Specialist recruitment outfit Network Group has agreed a cash bid led by private equity giant Lloyds Development Capital. The company has had increasing difficulty raising funds to help pay for potential acquisitions. Trading is satisfactory, with decent growth in certain areas of recruitment.

Sussex-based OCS Group has taken over the assets from Fountains Environmental Limited, which was placed into administration in January 2012. The takeover is part of OCS Group's strategy to develop its leading position in the UK facilities management market. OCS has 56,000 employees and recorded turnover of £491.3m in the year to March 2011.
