France-based technology outsourcing company Capgemini recorded sales of £2bn in the 2012 first quarter, up 4.3% from the 2011 first quarter. UK & Ireland revenues increased 3.9%, a significant improvement from 2011 when revenues were flat. 2010 turnover £1.6bn, 7,632 employees.

Capgemini and SAS have partnered to provide revenue fraud and improper payment protection to public sector organisations. Software developer Kaleida has relocated to new headquarters within Trafford Park, Manchester, to accommodate its growth plans. The company will increase its workforce from 16 to 24 by May 2013. Turnover in the year to October 2011 was 1m, up from 900,000, and Kaleida is targeting similar growth in 2012.

IT specialist Black Pepper Software has relocated to new premises in Leamington, West Midlands as part of a strategy to increase growth and create employment opportunities. It is planning to develop links with local organisations including the University of Warwick as part of its ongoing business development.
