ITV has appointed Ruth Clarke as Director of Acquisitions and Co-productions for ITV Studios Global Entertainment. She will oversee the company's acquisition and co-production strategy and report to managing director Maria Kyriacou. Clarke was most recently senior VP and head of EMEA at Shine International.

Motive Television is making progress in its BCJV LLC joint venture with Granite Broadcasting Corporation, to enable Television Anytime Anywhere over broadcast television to tablet devices. A Technical Feasibility Analysis and Business Plan has been approved. Technical development of the product will begin in June 2012, leading to a commercial launch in Spring 2013. 2010 turnover £1.3m.

Elstree Studios has received a £2 million grant to develop new film and TV facilities in Elstree, Hertfordshire, creating new jobs. The new stage will be built on four acres of unused land at the back of the existing studio. The company is one of the most popular filming locations in the country.

International service company Secro has signed a new 5 year contract with Ideal Shopping, valued at £17m. The contract will employ 160 people with existing members of staff in Peterborough transferring to Serco. As well as protecting the existing jobs, 40 new jobs will be brought into the city within the first 12 months. Mike Hancox is CEO .
