Jobs created - new outlet opened
Pantrinis Fish Restaurant has opened a new fish and chip shop in North Shields, following the refurbishment of a derelict pub in the town. Eight jobs have been created at the new premises. The company's expansion follows its recognition as the north-east's Fish & Chip Shop of the Year in 2011.

County Durham housing company Dale & Valley Homes has appointed Steve Richards as assistant chief executive to help lead it through a time of change. Richards previously worked for Spirita, a housing association with more than 11,000 homes in the Midlands.

Integral Computers Acquired - 40 Employees Retained - Turnover £1.4bn
The Sage Group plc has acquired through its subsidiary Sage Pay Europe Limited Integral Computers Limited, a cardholder present payment processing provider based in Dublin, Ireland for a cash consideration of £16.7m. Integral's 40 employees will be retained within the Sage Pay business. Guy Berruyer Chief Executive Officer, Simon Black Chief Executive Officer of Sage Pay.

£7m homes & leisure development project - 244 new homes - 30 jobs created
Persimmon Homes, in partnership with entrepreneur Brian Morton, is to build 244 new homes as part of a £7m homes and leisure development in Hartlepool, North East England. The development has received approval from Hartlepool Borough Council. The scheme will initially create 30 jobs.

Three new contracts secured
Nortech Solutions, the project management and design engineering company based in Billingham, Cleveland has secured three new contracts. The first contract, located in the Channel Islands, has been awarded by Jersey Gas Co and will continue into 2013. The company has also secured an on-going engineering design contract in the international offshore Oil & Gas market and a deal with an international steel manufacturing client.
