Rapidly expanding Global 4 Communications Ltd, a telecommunication solutions provider, is recruiting 50 more staff for its tele-sales, customer support, accounts and billing departments at its head office in Horsham, Sussex. Rutland factory to close - 31 jobs lost
Generator firm Cummins is closing a factory it co-owns in Oakham, Rutland, with the loss of 31 jobs. The factory will close in April 2012 with production moved to Mexico and Japan. Cummins had a 40 per cent share in the company and Sawafuji a 60 per cent share.

Oxford-based private jet operator Hangar8 Plc has acquired a 49% share in a new Maltese business, Hangar8 Malta, as part of its international expansion strategy. Hangar8, which has a £1.8m turnover and 37 employees, has the option to take on a controlling 51% share in the company.

Business expansion - 25 new jobs
The advanced engineering and transmission technology specialist Xtrac, has commenced a recruitment campaign throughout the Thames Valley region in the UK. The company is advertising throughout the Thames Valley region from Oxfordshire in the west, to London in the east, covering Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
