NHS approves £1.5m medical centre - potential new jobs
Realise Health Ltd has been selected by NHS North Essex to build a £1.5m medical centre in Wivenhoe. It will be nearly three times the size of the existing surgery in Wivenhoe, which it will replace. The centre could offer minor surgery, mental health services, physiotherapy and specialist diabetes clinics, creating business and employment opportunities.

£18.3m acquisitions - international energy market expansion
Cambridge risk management software company Brady Plc has made two acquisitions totalling £18.3m: Norway-based Navita Systems AS, which provides systems for power, gas, and other energy and commodity trading, and Swiss company syseca AG which provides logistics software for the electricity markets. In 2010 Brady recorded turnover of £11.1m and employed 86 staff.

Expanding industrial printer manufacturer Linx Printing Technologies is investing £6m in a purpose-built 41,000 sq ft headquarters in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. It plans to consolidate its 7 current buildings at the new site in spring 2013. Linx recorded £9.35m turnover in the year to December 2010 and employed 210 staff.
