New joint venture company - 28 jobs saved
Norfolk based NPS Group, a property design and management service company has established a new joint venture company with Leeds City Council, to provide architectural design services for council construction projects. The new company has been called NPS Leeds and will be part owned by the council and managed by NPS, with the council retaining equal control on decisions. The councils in-house design team is set to transfer to the new company, safeguarding their jobs. Mike Britch is NPS Group Managing Director.

Ipswich regeneration scheme - 44 Acre Business and retail Park - 1500 New Jobs
A new 44-acre business and retail park in Ipswich could create up to 1500 new jobs. Planning consent has been granted for the regeneration project, which is being undertaken by AquiGen Real Estate Solutions. AquiGen Real Estate Solutions is a joint venture partnership between developers and investors Generator Group and Aquila House Holdings. It focuses on buying and regenerating sites with potential for mixed-use redevelopment schemes. Paul Issacs is Managing Director.

Innovative contract to commence - taking over NHS hospital
Private healthcare company Circle is taking over Hinchingbrooke general hospital in Cambridgeshire in February 2012. Hinchingbrooke is the first NHS hospital to be taken over by a private company. Circle will run the hospital but the NHS will retain control over staff and assets.

The company has closed is office in Romford, Essex and transferred operations to Cambridge and Stansted. 60 jobs lost - Reducing dealer network
Renault is to cut nearly 60 jobs at its UK headquarters in Maple Cross, Hertfordshire. The 200 staff will be reduced by 30%. The company is ceasing the sale of several models in the UK and reducing its dealer network by a third by the start of 2013.

£1million contract secured - Turnover up 20% - Company Growth
ENGINEERING firm Warren Services based in Thetford has secured a £1 million order to make brushes for UK manufacturer Johnston Sweepers, trebling the amount of work that Warren does for Johnston. New Jobs - Contract Won - Turnover up 20% to £5.5m
Growing Norfolk engineering company Warren Services has secured an export contract worth almost £1m which will create 10 jobs. The contract with UK manufacturer Johnston Sweepers â€“ which must be completed within six months â€“ will see the Thetford-based company create brush parts for 250 road sweepers to be exported to eastern Europe. Job losses - closing Norwich store
Fashion retailer Mango is closing its store in Norwich Chapelfield Centre in February 2012. Employees at the store have been offered the chance to relocate elsewhere within the company. The closure is part of the rationalisation of Mango's store portfolio.
