Strong performance at CSC - growth in oil rig market
Pressure Technologies expects its Chesterfield Special Cylinders (CSC) division to beat market expectations in the 2011/12 fourth quarter after CSC secured new orders in the rapidly expanding deep water oil rig market. For the year to September 2010 Pressure Technologies recorded turnover of £21.7m and employed 95 staff.

75 job losses - selling Lockwood site - creating 30 jobs at new premises
David Brown Gear Systems is reducing its 450-strong workforce in Lockwood, Huddersfield by 75. It is selling part of the site to Kirklees Council. A new factory is being built in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, creating 30 jobs. Expansion in the renewables sector is expected to create further jobs. For the year to December 2009 turnover was £54m.

Health centre opened - £16.5m investment by Citycare partnership
NHS Hull has opened a £16.5m health centre in Hull which will offer a range of services, including sexual health and GP practices. It is the tenth health centre to be delivered by Citycare, a partnership between NHS Hull and the Sewell Group, as part of the city's Local Improvement Finance Trust programme.
