Results in line with forecasts - £90k cost savings
Dee Valley Group expects revenues and profits to be in line with management forecasts and reflect the 5.3% price increase for the year ending March 2012. The company has completed a restructure that will result in annual savings of £90,000. Electricity prices have been fixed up to 2015 for 65% of the group's expected consumption.

Rutland factory to close - 31 jobs lost
Generator firm Cummins is closing a factory it co-owns in Oakham, Rutland, with the loss of 31 jobs. The factory will close in April 2012 with production moved to Mexico and Japan. Cummins had a 40 per cent share in the company and Sawafuji a 60 per cent share.

Offshore engineering group Subsea 7 has secured a £63m contract with BP for work on a major project off the Shetland Islands. The contract will secure the future of 100 jobs in Wick. Subsea 7, a £59.6m turnover company with a 5,500-strong global workforce, has previously worked with BP on similar contracts.
