Spirit Motortransport acquired - transporter fleet strengthened
Northampton-based automotive services company Autologic has continued its expansion with the acquisition of certain assets of Spirit Motortransport, including car transporters. Spirit Motortransport was placed into administration in May 2012. Autologic recorded a 5% increase in revenue to £144.7m in 2011.

£1m capital investment - warehouse refurbishment - potential new jobs
Logistics company AK Worthington has completed a £1m refurbishment of a 16,000 sq ft warehouse in Trafford Park, Manchester. The work was carried out by Russells Construction. The investment is the first phase of the two-stage development of an eight-acre site. The development has the potential to create employment opportunities. 2011 turnover £10m, 115 employees.

Expanding Staffordshire premises - £1m renewable energy investment - potential new jobs
Britannia Premier Self Storage is expanding its facility in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The company is investing £1m to add 50-kilowatt solar panels and a new storage building. A £20,000 payout in the first year is expected from the electricity created from the panels that is re-circulated into the power grid.
