Spirit Motortransport acquired - transporter fleet strengthened
Northampton-based automotive services company Autologic has continued its expansion with the acquisition of certain assets of Spirit Motortransport, including car transporters. Spirit Motortransport was placed into administration in May 2012. Autologic recorded a 5% increase in revenue to £144.7m in 2011.

23,000 m2 hanger let - $2m refurbishment
Stansted Airport has let a 23,000m2 hanger to international company Aero Toy Store. The facility will offer aircraft handling, parking and completions after a $2 million refurbishment.

Global sales reach record levels - profit increased to £585m - positive outlook
Nissan recorded global sales of 4.8 million units in 2011, a record for the company. Net profit increased to 75.3bn yen (£585m) in the 2012 first quarter, up from 30.8bn yen a year earlier, helped by expansion into fast-growing markets. Nissan outperformed rivals Toyota and Honda and expects an even better performance in 2012.

New 21.9m wind farm scheme - 30 new jobs
Banks Renewables, part of the Banks Group, has completed a 21.9m agreement with The Co-operative Bank to fund the construction of the Penny Hill Wind Farm in South Yorkshire. Thirty new jobs are expected to be created as a direct result. Completion is expected by the end of 2013.
