£3m energy centre - 40 new jobs
Construction work has begun on a £3m Energy Centre at Skypark in Devon which will be operated by E.ON UK Plc. Construction of the centre will create around 40 jobs. The facility is part of the £210m Skypark development, a joint venture between E.ON, St Modwen and Devon County Council.

International expansion - £30m funding secured
Sustainable energy company ENER-G has secured a £30m funding line to help finance its international expansion. ENER-G reported a turnover of £122.4m for the year to 31 March 2011, a 5.8 per cent drop on a year earlier, and a pre-tax loss for the year of £6.4m. Peter Southby is the group finance director.

Renewable energy contract completed - major solar panel installation
Renewable energy company Clean Energy (Yorkshire) Ltd has successfully completed its largest contract to date. The company has installed more than 200 solar panels to roofs at Harrogate Grammar School. The panels generate around 50 kilowatts of electricity.

E.ON £736m wind scheme - 1000 jobs during construction - 30 jobs on completion
Coventry energy giant E.ON has unveiled a £736m wind farm plan for off the coast of East Yorkshire. The scheme will involve a 73 turbines capable of generating up to 219MW of electricity and is to create up to 1,000 jobs during construction and a further 30 to operate and maintain the wind farm once complete. Work is to begin in March with a view to complete in Spring 2015. Tony Cocker is Chief Executive.
