NHS approves £1.5m medical centre - potential new jobs
Realise Health Ltd has been selected by NHS North Essex to build a £1.5m medical centre in Wivenhoe. It will be nearly three times the size of the existing surgery in Wivenhoe, which it will replace. The centre could offer minor surgery, mental health services, physiotherapy and specialist diabetes clinics, creating business and employment opportunities.

Health centre opened - £16.5m investment by Citycare partnership
NHS Hull has opened a £16.5m health centre in Hull which will offer a range of services, including sexual health and GP practices. It is the tenth health centre to be delivered by Citycare, a partnership between NHS Hull and the Sewell Group, as part of the city's Local Improvement Finance Trust programme.

St Helens Council is closing Moss Bank support centre in St Helens, Merseyside, putting jobs at risk. Moss Bank centre is under-occupied and requires £2m of refurbishment. The council needs to find a further £22m of budget cuts over the three years to 2015 and is restructuring its services.
