12 new jobs - opening bar - £300,000 refurbishment
The former Party Party bar in Carlisle is being converted into Danz Bar and Grill. Around £300,000 is being invested in the new bar, which will create 12 jobs. Construction work is being carried out by McKnight builders and Interior Connections has designed the interior of the new venue. Kerry Pitt is Danz venue manager.

£7m homes & leisure development project - 244 new homes - 30 jobs created
Persimmon Homes, in partnership with entrepreneur Brian Morton, is to build 244 new homes as part of a £7m homes and leisure development in Hartlepool, North East England. The development has received approval from Hartlepool Borough Council. The scheme will initially create 30 jobs.

£8m hotel opens in Leicester - 35 jobs created
A new 115-bedroom Ramada Encore hotel has opened in Leicester, Leicestershire after an £8m investment from building owner and businessman Indi Johal. Thirty five full and part time jobs have been created as a direct result. The hotel will be operated by the Akkeron Hotels Group under the Ramada brand. Henrik Jespersen is the General Manager.

15 pubs acquired for £22.9m
London headquartered brewery company Fuller Smith & Turner has purchased 15 pubs from Enterprise Inns, based in Solihull, West Midlands for £22.9m. The pubs made operating profits of £1.7m in the year to the end of September 2011 whilst under Enterprise Inns ownership.

Pub company Enterprise Inns, based in Solihull, West Midlands, has exchanged contracts for the sale of 15 pubs to Fuller Smith & Turner for £22.9m. Under Enterprises ownership, the pubs made operating profits of £1.7m in the year to the end of September 2011.

Theatre Royal (Plymouth) Ltd is closing the swimming pool at Plymouth Pavilions, putting 20 jobs at risk. The swimming pool will be replaced with a new Life Centre in March 2012.
