25 new jobs - smartphone market expansion - growth in emerging markets
Technology recruitment company Nakama is expanding internationally due to exceptional growth in the smartphone market. The company has applied for a licence to operate in Shanghai, China, and is also opening an office in Singapore in April 2012. Staff numbers are expected to grow from 50 to 75 by the end of 2012.

Acquired by PMGC Technology - Combined Revenue of 10m
PMGC Technology has acquired Vodafone dealer Phonebox for an undisclosed sum. It has also acquired London and Leamington Spa-based Premier Mobile. Jason Yeomans, the managing director of Premier Mobile, founded PMGC Technology earlier this year to complete the two deals. The acquisition of Phonebox was carried out shortly after the management buyout of Premier Mobile. The deals create a business that will have revenues of more than 10m.

Four mobile phone franchisees acquired

WAP Communications Ltd, 24-7 Connect Ltd, 635 Connect Ltd and Crystal Connect Ltd are independent companies with common shareholders. Dan Fountain is Joint Managing Director of the companies.

Suffolk Constabulary has achieved efficiency savings of 10% and cost savings of 60k per year by sending information efficiently to members of the public through email, SMS text messaging and recorded voice telephone messaging via new messaging system Police Direct. The new system replaces Comnet, the previous police messaging system, which was slow, awkward to use, and underutilised.
