Family business Job Earnshaw and Bros of Wakefield in Yorkshire has recorded a year-on-year increase in retail sales of 22%. The company which runs Earnshaws Fencing Centres in Wakefield, Rotherham and Brigg, sells timber garden products and natural landscaping goods. Profits rise at consumer goods company - Beauty products company acquired - 18 jobs lost
Consumer goods company Unilever has recorded a small rise in 2011 profits after price hikes and cost savings offset difficult market conditions. During 2011 the firm has also acquired beauty products company Alberto Culver. Up to 18 jobs will be lost at its factory in Swansea, Wales.

John Russell and Chris White of The P&A Partnership were appointed administrators of the company on 3 February 2012 and are considering options for the business. Oakworth recorded £14.38m turnover in 2012.
