Updated 1st May 2012  -  UK Turnover in the Aerospace and Defence sector companies monitored has fallen 0.5% in the past accounting year to reach £42.1bn, while profits have also declined by 0.2% to £6.3bn.  Employee numbers have fallen by 4% in the period to 365,523 people.  Across the past three years turnover in the sector has grown at a rate of 0.9% whilst employee numbers have decreased by 4%.  See UK Growth by Sector section for more detail.
