Updated 1st Jan 2012  -  The Leisure, Sports, Hotels and Restaurants sector companies monitored has shown an increase of 1% in UK turnover during the last accounting year to £91.7bn, and also a rise in the number of employees to 1,433,396 (a 0.8% increase).  Operating profits have risen by 1% to £8.6bn.  Over the last 3 years turnover has increased by 10% and employee numbers have risen by 17%.  See UK Growth by Sector section for more detail.
