Profits have risen by 3% to £34.1bn.  Employee numbers have decreased by 2% in the period to 2,206,179 people.  Over the past 3 years, turnover in the sector has risen by 1% and employee numbers have fallen by 2%.  See UK Growth by Sector section for more detail.
