Updated 1st Feb 2012 -  In the past accounting year, UK turnover in the Retailing & Wholesaling sector companies monitored has risen by 2% to £915.3bn. Employee numbers have declined by 13% to 6,422,151 people. Profits have increased by 3% to £39.2bn over the same period.  The picture over the last 3 years shows a turnover increase of 23% and a rise in employee numbers by 17%.
