Updated 1st Jan 2012 -  In the past accounting year, UK turnover in the Retailing & Wholesaling sector companies monitored has risen by 1% to £907.9bn. Employee numbers have declined by 12% to 6,554,069 people. Profits have increased by 3% to £39.4bn over the same period.  The picture over the last 3 years shows a turnover increase of 21% and a rise in employee numbers by 19%.
