Updated 1st Jan 2012  -  UK Turnover in the Transport, Storage & Transit sector companies monitored has increased margainlly by 0.6% in the last accounting year to just over £192bn and employee numbers have fallen by 4% to 2,020,464.  Profits have shown an increase of 5% to just over £16.3bn in the last year.  Over the last 3 years, turnover has risen by 10% and employee numbers have also risen by 8%.  See UK Growth by Sector section for more detail.
