Updated 1st Feb 2012  -  UK Turnover in the Speciality Finance sector companies monitored has risen over the past accounting year to £111.2bn with a 0.1% rise. Operating profits have fallen 10% to £19.5bn.  Employee numbers have increased by 5% to 803,020.  Longer term, the sector has experienced a 3% rise in turnover over the last 3 years, and a 13% rise in employee numbers over the same period.  See UK Growth by Sector section for more detail.
